Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions English-speaking residents ask most often before their first visit to Dr. E-Laser Dermatology in Cheongdam, Seoul. If your question is not here, message us on WhatsApp.

830 Seolleung-ro, 2F, Gangnam-gu, Seoul (Cheongdam-dong). The clinic is a one-minute walk from Apgujeong Rodeo Station Exit 4 on the Suin-Bundang Line and about ten minutes on foot from Apgujeong Station Exit 3 on Line 3. What are the clinic hours?

Can I get care in English?
Yes. Our consultation staff communicate in English from your first message through the consultation and aftercare instructions, and treatment precautions are published in English on our Precautions page. Read more on our International patients page.
Who performs the treatments?
Treatments are performed by licensed physicians. The clinic is led by Medical Director Dr. Kwangsuk Suh, a board-certified dermatologist with a Ph.D. in medicine. Profiles are on our doctors page.
Is the clinic registered to treat international patients?
Yes. Dr. E-Laser Dermatology is registered as a Healthcare Provider for international patients in the Republic of Korea (Seoul Metropolitan Government, registration no. M-2021-01-08-6191).
How do I book a consultation?
Message us on WhatsApp and describe your concern in one line. You can also call +82-2-543-2202 during clinic hours or reach us through our KakaoTalk channel. We reply with available consultation times and what to expect.
What happens at the first visit?
Registration, a short medical history form, a consultation and a skin assessment. Whether treatment can follow on the same day depends on the treatment and on the assessment. Our guide to a first visit to a Korean dermatology clinic walks through each step.
How much do treatments cost?
We do not publish a price list online. The cost depends on the treatment plan agreed at your consultation, and you are told the cost before any treatment is done.
Which treatments does the clinic offer?
Our main areas are laser and energy-based lifting (Ultherapy, Thermage, Shurink, XERF, InMode, ONDA and Titanium lifting), pigmentation and melasma programs, acne and acne scar treatment, pore and texture treatment, redness and rosacea, skin boosters, botulinum toxin and dermal fillers, fat-dissolving injections and body contouring. Each treatment has its own page under en.drelaser.com, and our blog explains how we choose between them.
Do you treat non-Korean skin types?
Yes. Settings and treatment plans are decided after an in-person skin assessment, and your skin type is part of that assessment. See our guides on laser treatment for darker skin and laser treatment for Caucasian skin.
What about downtime and travel after treatment?
Downtime depends on the treatment. Many laser treatments involve a few days of redness or small scabs, and deeper pigmentation treatment may leave minor bruising for about three to seven days. If you have a flight or an important event coming up, tell us before booking so the timing can be planned. Our guide on flying after laser treatment has more detail.
Do you provide aftercare instructions?
Yes. Procedure-specific precautions are published in English on our Precautions page, and questions after treatment can be sent to us on WhatsApp.
Can I see before-and-after photos?
Korean regulations limit how clinics may display before-and-after photos publicly. Our Before & After page explains how clinical records are handled at the clinic.
