Picosecond lasers deliver pulses measured in trillionths of a second. At Dr. E-Laser Dermatology in Cheongdam, Seoul, we use two picosecond systems for different concerns.
Fotona Pico Fraxel works in a fractional mode for skin texture, fine scars and pores. Fotona StarWalker combines picosecond and nanosecond modes for pigmentation.
Your skin is assessed first, and the treating physician sets the device, mode and settings for your concern.

A pico laser delivers energy in picosecond pulses, which are shorter than the nanosecond pulses of conventional Q-switched lasers. At Dr. E-Laser Dermatology, Fotona Pico Fraxel is used in a fractional mode for texture, fine scars and pores, and Fotona StarWalker is used for pigmentation. The device is chosen after your skin is assessed.
No. Pico Fraxel delivers energy in a fractional pattern to stimulate regeneration in the dermis. Laser toning passes evenly over the face to address uneven tone. If tone is your main concern, we may suggest our Signature Toning Program or pigmentation treatment instead. Results vary from person to person.
